LCU ‘Senior’ Cup Draws

November 30, 2009

In a development that will keep the Treasurer happy, but not many others, the 1st XI have been handed the same draw as 2009 in the ‘Senior’ Cup, the cup holders first up. The only consolation is home advantage this year.
One new feature in this cup is the presence of two teams from The Hills. It will be interesting to see how this is managed, not least as the 2nd XI has received a bye to the second round.

With a few new names from 2009 the former ‘Senior 2 Cup’ paired us with our nearest and dearest Cabra neighbours. The new features of this cup are two teams from North County, the former North Wicklow now as Wicklow County, and now 5 1st XI teams from around the province.
