A mixed bag this weekend but a big win for the 1st X1 was a highlight. Dave Langford-Smith was on the honours board again but this time for his bowling, with a 5 wicket haul.
Chris Kavanagh & Asim Nazir both scored their first half centuries for the club in a hard fought game for the twos while in the 4ths game a familiar name to many raised eyebrows when 15 year old Stephen Pigot followed in the very big footsteps of David Snr & Jnr to make his Phoenix debut. A mention must be made of our Under 11c side who debuted 3 players for their first ever game of cricket and managed a great win. To only lose 4 wickets in 20 overs was probably the team performance of the entire weekend!!
