John Doran saves Aileen’s life!!

A belated mention of one of the very finest catches taken this season so far. At Rush on the 5th June, John Doran was wiling away the day as he does, enjoying the cricket when one of the Rush batters picked a ball up off his toes and landed it straight onto the roof of the pavilion, before clipping the guttering and ricocheting directly into the path of John’s wife Aileen. As cool as a cucumber and without so much as a tightening of Larry’s lead, let alone having to leave his chair, John stuck out one hand and claimed the catch just inches in front of her face. Nonchalance perfonified!
