Our Youth section will be back up and running at full speed from next week with all our teams going through Easters Cricket week getting things off on the right note. However there’s important off the field activities coming up in the next few weeks with our annual bag packing day and 5km run.
The funds raised enable our club to continue it’s push forward to provide the best on and off the field facilities for our Youth and Senior Section. Year on year we endeavour to give our Youth members the best of experience possible from the first day of the season until the last. With unprecedented numbers of Youth players joining in recent years it is clear Phoenix is a club, and a Youth Section, in particular on the rise. We ask all our players and parents to pull together with the club and it’s fundraising committee and make the very most of each fundraising opportunity. What hard work earns us fundraising of the field will be clear to see when it comes time for our Youth and Senior players to put their talents on display in 2013.
Bag Packing Day – Saturday April 13th
Saturday April 13th is our annual bag packing day at Tesco Roselawn between 10am and 6pm. This event brings in vital funds to the club and can be a real money spinner from the Youth Section. Volunteers are always welcome so get in touch if you can lend a hand. The shifts will be 10am-2pm and 2pm-6pm. The fundraising committee has worked hard to secure this excellent fundraising opportunity and we, as a club, need to make the very most of it!
Annual 5km Fun Run – Saturday April 27th
Saturday April 27th sees the latest edition of our annual 5km Fun Run. The main run aside there will be many other events and prizes on offer. There will be a three legged race and prizes for the first person to make it back to the club dressed in full kit! There will also be a Bouncy Castle and Treasure Hunt to keep everyone entertained and we’ll also have our Sizzling BBQ (Meat & Veggie) to keep hungry mouths fed! After it all dies down our 1st XI are in action against YMCA.
It will be the perfect way to kick off the new season for all our members and their families. It is shaping up to be a superb social event as well as a vital fundraiser for the club and is a great way for us to kick off the season with a bang!
