You may have noticed that our Head Coach, Matt Lunson, was away this week. He was in Edinburgh doing his Level 3 coaching accreditation. On the back of this Matt has been chosen to help assist the Ireland Women’s team in their series against Pakistan over in the UK this coming week. We’d like to take this chance to congratulate Matt on his accomplishments and wish him all the best with the series. Unfortunately that means he will be away from Monday to Wednesday but rest assured he’ll be back and ready to go full tilt from Thursday onwards.
The club has organised a top quality replacement, Glenn Pocknall for the U11’s & U13’s this week so make the most of the sun and get down to the club as it will be no doubt buzzing as usual. Glenn works for Cricket Ireland and is a Level 3 coach from New Zealand.
Unfortunately we’ve lost our club professional player back to Sth Africa due to a family bereavement.
Stepping more than ably into his shoes are Dumi Madagala & Branem Adams, two wonderfully talented and enthusiastic cricketers, also from South Africa. Expect to see them around the club for the next two months, please introduce yourself and make them feel welcome.
1-2-1 sessions start again on Sunday July 14th at midday and will continue right through until the seasons end. For inquiries about early morning sessions please contact Matt via e-mail.
