Twenty 20 Finals Day

On Saturday 14th August we are hosting this year’s Alan Murray Cup T20 Finals Day and have thankfully qualified from our group! The draw took place on Thursday evening:

Near FM Alan Murray Cup – Finals Day Draw 2010.

11am – North County v Railway Union
2pm – Phoenix v Malahide
5pm – Final

This is going to be a huge day in the club – more details will follow!

2nd X1 Cup Final

Come on the boys!! Tomorrow, Saturday 31st July at North County the 2nds take on Balbriggan in the Senior 2 Cup Final. Play starts at 1pm so if you’re around please get up there and give Chris Cavanagh and the lads all the support you can…

Weekend Report 24-25 July 2010

Late report this week with the weekend stretching to key games on Tuesday and Wednesday midweek. The period started with the U13′s getting the worst of the batting conditions in a cup semi spread over a week due to rain and going down to Leinster. The 4ths won their Cup Semi Final with a really good knock coming from Rory Anders to get them over the line. The youth policy continues to bear fruit…

The 2nd X1 continued to build momentum to their league campaign with a great win on Sunday. Lots of contributions in a super team effort. Special mention for Jamie Faulds, who after a lean spell has scored really important runs on his last two outings and to 1st year player Luke Savage for the same! Runs at the top of any innings are gold. Keep going boys!

The weekend quickly rolled into a clutch of midweek fixtures and on Tuesday the 1st X1 had another strong win over Rush, this time in the Twenty 20 Cup. This win confirming our place in finals day, hosted by us on the 14th August. More on that later…

The U15s topped their group undefeated, with Thomas Anders scoring his maiden half century and as a reslut a Semi Final also awaits them. The ladies also continue to improve and on Wednesday night were involved in a really competetive outing against Pembroke.

One For The Kids!

Monday evening at 6.30pm the 1st X1 will do a short, sharp 1 hour fielding session to prepare for Tuesday night’s Twenty 20 game against Rush. Come down and watch the lads… And then of course on Tuesday give all the support you can. If we win this game we’ll be involved in the Finals Day that we’re hosting on Saturday 14th August.
