The 2nd week of the 6 week programme started back today, Tuesday at 11.00am finishing at 14.30.
The first week was a great success. It was characterised by high energy levels & good fun; excellent progress was made by many of the children. Matt will hope to continue the great start as he develops the coaching structure throughout the programme. Matt also introduced a ‘most improved player of the week’ competition which was won by Hassan Azam in Week 1. The prize is a new cricket ball and this will be presented to Hassan today.
This week also sees the introduction of the first of our ‘Master classes’. Mr. Conor Hoey, former Irish International spin bowler, will come to the School on Wednesday. Conor was a distinguished cricketer, and he is now an active member of Pembroke CC’s youth section. We appreciate his involvement, and thank him for his time and commitment to helping Youth cricket in Leinster.
The weather is set very fair this week, so please ensure your child is properly hydrated and UV protected.
In addition, after week 1, it is important to emphasise to parents to collect their children on time. The School finishes at 14.30pm. The Coaches, Matt and Lucky, don’t hang around afterwards, so it is important you are on time to collect your child.
This week we welcome:
who all start the programme today.
Good luck to everyone and take care in the sun!!
