James Govan will be Head Women’s Coach for Phoenix for 2024. James represented Scotland over 90 times beginning with U16s through to the national side, gaining 54 full caps. He also played professional cricket at Northamptonshire and after ‘retirement’ Irish club cricket at Malahide.
James is a level 4 coach with vast experience at school and club level, having coached in New Zealand and Australia as well as in Scotland. James is enthusiastic about his new role and has ideas for improving skills and play for both women’s teams. We are lucky to have such an experienced coach. Exciting times ahead! 🏏
